Joseph (Joe) Sundeen, MA, LP, is a licensed psychologist, and is the founder of Transformation Counseling. A core value, at Transformation Counseling, is to partner with clients in personal restoration, renewal, and transformation. A wide array of populations are served at the clinic, including: Faith-Based, Military, Latino and Spanish speaking, individuals struggling with addictions, Entrepreneurs / Business Leaders, and others.
Specialty areas include reducing anxiety related signs, such as panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, performance anxiety. In addition, PTSD, Stress-Management, depressive signs, and restoration in relationships are also a focus.
At Transformation Counseling, priority is placed on using Evidence-Based Practices (including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, CBT-Insomnia, EMDR) to produce measurable results. Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) includes an emphasis on reducing/replacing negative thoughts and behaviors with those which are accurate, affirming, and adaptive.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and is also available to help clients with sleep problems and reduce insomnia. Many physicians familiar with CBT-I, often refer patients looking for an effective adjunct or alternate approach to medication.
Joe is a trained clinician in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). He has worked with individuals suffering with the effects of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), using EMDR and other approaches, including accident victims, military veterans, police officers, and individuals who experienced past abuse (physical, sexual, emotional).
